Abstract:

    Precision machinery is an emerging industry that countries around the world value, but what is precision machinery?   What is the difference between precision machinery and general machinery?   Why is China still unable to produce high-precision processing machines, precision instruments, robotic arms and precision positioning platforms? This is not enough to understand the precision of precision machinery! Precision measurement technology should not only be used for product quality inspection, but also for product manufacturing equipment, sensing geometric errors caused by improper assembly of each axis, and compensating for spatial errors through the controller to improve accuracy. This report will provide an in-depth analysis of the causes of error in precision machinery. It will introduce the spatial error detection and compensation schemes of domestic CNC machine tools and robot arms, and introduce several innovative precision measuring instruments. I hope that you can accurately measure precision machinery. The importance of the above is known.


Brief Bio:

    Professor Fan Guangguang is a world-renowned expert in precision engineering. He is currently a professor at Dalian University of Technology, a Distinguished Professor at Hefei University of Technology, and an Emeritus Professor at Taiwan University. Doctor of Mechanical Engineering, University of Manchester, UK (PhD, 1984; DEng, 2014). Previous positions include Director of the Institute of Industrial Engineering of the Taiwan University, Associate Dean of the School of Engineering, and Director of the Incubation Center. Part-time external positions include Director of the Society of Metrology Engineering, Chairman of the Society of Automation, Chairman of the International Society of Manufacturing Engineering (SME) Taiwan Branch, and Director of the Mechanical Engineering Society. In Taiwan, he won the Dongyuan Science and Technology Award, the Outstanding Research Award of the National Science Council, the Distinguished Engineering Professor Award and the Engineering Paper Award of the Institute of Engineers, and the University-Industry Contribution Award of the Ministry of Economics; and won the Yangtze Scholar Award and the Guanghua Engineering Award in the mainland. International Society of Manufacturing Engineers Fellow (Fellow), International Society nanometer manufacturing Fellow. From 2012 to 2013, he served as the chairman of the Asian Society of Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering. More than 160 published journal articles, conference papers more than 250 articles.
