On January7, 2016, The professor Albert Shih, University of Michigan, USA came to visit our school. At 10 o'clock in the morning, in Room7-404, Prof. Shih gave a wonderful academic report entitled"Cyber-Physical Design and Additive Manufacturing of CustomOrthoses" to the teachers and students at the school. professor Jianzhong, Professor Mei Deqing, Professor Yin Jun, associate professor Lei Yong, Associate Professor Yao Xinyu, AssociateProfessor Xu Xinghua, Wang Yancheng and other teachers and more than50 students attended the report.
Beginning with the applause of the students. First, Professor Shih took conventional manufacturing process of the conventional prostheses and prosthetic aids as a leasing point, by means of increase manufacturing material, which is used in the manufacturing of prostheses and prosthetic personalization process aids, combined medical doctors, patient wear, sensor monitoring, multi-dimensional interaction of information physics, etc. to explain the manufacturing concept ofCyber-manufacturing; Secondly, Professor Shih introduced the latest research results on the manufacture of artificial limbs based on information physics system (CPS). Then, Professor Shih introduced cutting-edge technologies in 3D printing manufacturing, print path planning, IMU Sensor human motion monitoring, and quality inspection and control of composite printing based on Nano-CT for personalized medical surgery simulators.
During the questioning session, the teachers and students discussed the contents of the academic report and discussed their problems and ideas with Professor Shih. The academic atmosphere was very enthusiastic. Finally, in the warm applause of the students, this academic report was successfully concluded.
