There are 69 fixed researchers in the laboratory, including 52 professors and researchers, 17 associate professors, one academician of the two academies, one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and five MOE Cheung Kong Scholars. There are seven Recipient of National Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholars, five New Century National Talents, three “973” Chief Scientists, two MOE Distinguished College Teacher Prize Winner.

Among the 69 researchers in the laboratory, 66 have doctoral degrees, accounting for 94.28% of the total number. Many of them have doctoral degrees from overseas famous universities, the University of California, Clemson University, University of Missouri, University of Bath, Imperial College, University of Toronto, Technical University of Eindhoven, Kyoto University, University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of Technology, Singapore Nanyang Technological University, University of Hong Kong, etc.
