Abstract

Under the current reality of the ever-changing technology, even though hydraulics have been developed for many years, relatively mature technologies have seen many improvements. Today, only those technologies directly in the hydraulic category are infinite in terms of individual learning ability, and they can't finish their energy in a lifetime. Therefore, for a college student, self-learning ability, ability to deal with problems, and independent work ability are the most important. Therefore, university engineering education should focus on promoting students' self-study and problem-solving skills. This is going to be done sooner or later, but whoever takes this step first, who is behind it.


The Institute of Fluid Technology Transmission and Control (IFAS) of the Asian Institute of Fluid Technology is the oldest, largest and most talented in the world's university fluid technology research institute. Professor Lu Yongxiang, former president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, completed his doctoral studies at the Institute. After completing his doctoral degree at IFAS, Professor Ulrich first worked as a research and development minister for a hydraulic component manufacturing company for 9 years. He feels that it is more important to train young people with research and development capabilities than to engage in research and development. Therefore, they have given up their own research and development, taught at universities, and promoted PBL (Problem-Based Learning) teaching methods (or problem-oriented learning, research-based learning). ).
