Brief Bio:
Prof. Kenneth. F. Reardon (Deputy Director, Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering, Colorado State University) finished his Ph.D. degree in California Institute of Technology, 1987, post Ph.D. in University of Hanover, Germany, and joined the Colorado State University in 1989. The main research direction is the development and application of various new types of biosensors, including the development of immobilized enzyme-based biosensors and on-line monitoring of food industry pollutants, the development of photo excited fluorescent biosensors and the online monitoring of environmental organic pollutants. Wait. Other research directions include: biodiesel production and refining technologies, systems biology and microbial community research, synthetic biology and microbial engineering.
