Chinese Academy of Engineering announced today that the academician's co-option in 2013 was successfully completed. A total of 51 new academicians were elected, and Professor Yang Huayong, the State KeyLaboratory of Fluid Power and Mechatronic Systems, was elected. At present, the total number of academicians of the Chinese Academy of engineering, including 258 senior academicians, has reached 807. Among the newly elected academicians, 21 were from higher education institutions, accounting for 41.2%; 14 were from the institute, accounting for 27.5%; 11 were from enterprises, accounting for 21.5%; and 5 were from management, accounting for 9.8%.
ProfessorYang Huayong is an expert in the field of fluid transmission and control. For 30 years, he has been engaged in the research of electrohydraulic control theory, basic components and system development, and the research and development and engineering of key technologies for TBM and hydraulic elevators. At the same time, an astable team of production, education, and research have been accumulated and cultivated, forming a virtuous circle of“theoretical-component-system-equipment-application” chain, and embarking on a successful road of independent research and development, and major equipment production urgently needed for national construction.
ProfessorYang Huayong has won 1 first prize, 1-second prize and 4 provincial and ministerial awards, published 3 monographs, published 52 SCIpapers, 191 EI papers, and 129 invention patents. He has established the theory of motion control, compliance design and energy-saving research of major equipment electro-hydraulic systems. The theoretical and technical achievements in the fields of TBMelectro-hydraulic control technology and elevator electro-hydraulic control system technology have been highly recognized by academia and industry. His research results have been widely applied in 12 large enterprises such as China Railway Tunnel Group, China Railway TunnelEquipment Manufacturing, Shanghai Tunnel Shares, Hangzhou BoilerGroup, Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator, and Xizi Elevator, and have achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.
ProfessorYang Huayong led the organization to demonstrate China's TBMdevelopment strategy and consolidate relevant scientific and technical issues. Under the support of the State Fund, 863 and 973, the company successfully completed the practical application, breaking through the key technologies of all types of working conditions. This has supported the four domestic shield leading enterprises such as Shanghai Tunnel, China Railway Tunnel, and ChinaRailway Equipment. The main technical indicators such as land deformation, failure rate, and axis accuracy are superior to those of Europe and the United States, making China enter the ranks of advanced countries with shield technology in Europe and the UnitedStates.
ProfessorYang Huayong has been the director of the National Electro-HydraulicControl Engineering Technology Research Center since the establishment of the project in 2001. He passed the 2003 acceptance and the 2011 evaluation with excellent results. He led the team to the practice, and was good at refining the theory of commonality from complex engineering practice, and guided the resolution of engineering problems through theoretical and technical research. He was the chief scientist of the 973 projects in 2007 and 2012respectively and became the head of the innovation team of theMinistry of Education in 2008. While carrying out academic research and technological innovation, he is also committed to talent cultivation and laboratory construction. At present, more than 30doctors and post-doctoral students have graduated, 9 of whom have become technical leaders of the Shanghai Tunnel and China RailwayEquipment and Xizi Elevator.
