International Workshop of Intelligent Wearable Robot Held by ZJU

On November 3, 2014, the 120th conference of Zhejiang University West LakeAcademic Forum - "International Conference on IntelligentWearable Exoskeleton Robots" was held in Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University. The meeting was held by Key Laboratory of FluidPower and Mechatronic Systems and School of Mechanical Engineering and chaired by Professor Yang Canjun, Associate Dean of the School ofMechanical Engineering. The meeting was first greeted by Prof. ZhuShiqiang, Assistant Professor of Zhejiang University. Prof. GurvinderS. Virk from the University of Gävle and Royal Institute of Technology , Prof. Ji Linhong from the Department of mechanical engineering of Tsinghua University, Prof. Chen Weidong from the school of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, ShanghaiJiaotong University, Prof. Yin Yue Hung from the School of mechanical engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Prof. Yan Weiqi from theDepartment of Medicine, Zhejiang University, Prof. Xiong Rong from the Institute of Cyber-systems in Zhejiang University, Prof. Liu Tao,from Zhejiang University, Prof. Shaoping Bai from Fort Denmark University attended the seminar and made wonderful academic reports. In addition, Jan Veneman and Jose Pons of the Tecnalia Institute in Spain and Professor Roger Bostelman of the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the United States made a wonderful academic report through video conferencing. Finally, there was a free discussion session. Domestic and foreign experts actively discussed the key technologies and development trends of smart wearable exoskeleton robots and provided ideas and insights for the development of smart wearable exoskeleton robots.

The successful holding of this conference has promoted in-depth discussions among experts and professors at home and abroad in the field of intelligent wearable exoskeleton robots, providing an academic exchange platform for researchers in the field of smart wearable exoskeleton robots, and contributing to domestic and international cooperation in the field of wearable exoskeletons.
