October16-18, International Conference on Wearable Sensors and Robotics, hosted by Zhejiang University and the International Committee for standardization (ISO/TC184/SC2/WG7), School of Mechanical Engineering and State Key Laboratory of Fluid Power and Mechatronic Systems (ICWSR2015) were successfully held in Zhejiang University.
The conference focused on 12 topics including rehabilitation robot technology, clinical applications, wearable robots, wearable sensors, sensor and actuator design, advanced control systems, etc. The experts were invited from China, the United States, the UnitedKingdom, Canada, Japan, Spain, Experts and scholars from Denmark and Sweden attended the meeting.
At the opening ceremony, Prof. Zhu Shiqiang, Assistant President of Zhejiang University, on behalf of the school, expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the conference and discussed the development status and future prospects of the field in light of his own research experience. Subsequently, the Chairman of ICWSR2015, Professor Gurvinder Singh Virk of the University of Gavle in Sweden expressed warm welcome to all the participants who participated in the conference and expected that this international conference could become an academic conference with scientific and technological ideas and scientific research. The opening ceremony was hosted by ProfessorYang Canjun, Vice President of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University and Chairman of the ICWSR2015 Conference.
Subsequently,Professor Gurvinder Singh Virk from Sweden, professor Jose L.Ponsfrom Spain, professor Tomas Sugar from United States, ProfessorBurkhard Zimmerman from Switzerland, Professor Roger Bostelman fromUS, Professor Shaoping Bai from Denmark, professor Canjun Yang ofChina, Prof. Leonard O ' Sullivan of Ireland, Professor Jan Venemanof Spain, Professor Michel Brossoit of Canada , Dr. Joseph Hitt of the theUnited States and Dr. Usman Haide of Sweden were invited to give a keynote speech for the conference, which was unanimously appreciated by the participants.
The authors of the ICWSR2015 conference respectively gave a sub-meeting report. The report fully focused on topics such as structural innovation and control system of wearable sensors and robots. The omnidirectional and multi-angle presentation of the development of wearable sensors and robots in the near future. A full discussion and exchange were conducted.
At the closing ceremony, on behalf of the organizing committee of theconference, Professor Yang Canjun delivered a speech, summed up the work of this conference, thanked all parties for their support and assistance in this conference, and hoped that the conference could promote the field of international wearable sensors and robotics.development of. After review by the jury, the conference reviewed a total of six papers including Professor Qingguo Li from the Queen'sUniversity of Canada as the best paper award.
This session discussed the current status and development of wearable sensors and robotics research and increased the communication between wearable sensors and robotics researchers, which is not only a feast of ideas for sharing information and knowledge among researchers but also is the establishment of an international cooperation and exchange platform in the field of wearable sensors and robotics. There is no doubt that this conference has promoted the development of wearable sensors and robots.
