On the morning of July 28th, 2016, the signing ceremony of the underwater Electromechanical Equipment Technology Innovation R&DCenter between Hangzhou Huaneng Safety Co., Ltd., and was successfully held in Zhejiang University.
School of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang University, is one of the earliest research institutes in China to develop underwater electro-mechanical equipment technology research. It has formed many key technologies and has participated in scientific research of major national projects for many times, and has accumulated rich R&Dexperience and technical capabilities. Hangzhou Huaneng EngineeringSafety Technology Co., Ltd. which was established in the national hydropower survey and design and scientific research system reform, is a high-tech company aimed at water conservancy and hydropower engineering failure detection and evaluation. After long-term and-depth cooperation, the two sides decided to jointly build an underwater research and development center for electromechanical equipment technology.
First of all, Yang Huayong, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University and Director of the State Key Laboratory of FluidPower and Mechatronic Systems, extended a warm welcome to Mr. CaiWei, Chairman of Hangzhou Huaneng Engineering Safety Technology Co., Ltd. Underwater electromechanical equipment technology is an important part of the country's emerging intelligent equipment strategy industry, in line with the national development strategy needs, and has a strong impetus to the development of underwater electro-mechanical equipment technology. He said that the joint construction of the School of Mechanical Engineering and HangzhouHuaneng is a strong alliance, which can not only realize the technological transformation of the Mechanical College but also promote the breakthrough of Huaneng Safety in the underwater electro-mechanical equipment technology. The development of underwater electro-mechanical equipment technology in China has made important contributions.
Then, Mr. Cai Wei pointed out that Huaneng Safety has a long-term cooperative relationship with Zhejiang University. This in-depth cooperation with Zhejiang University has deepened the industrialization of underwater electromechanical equipment technology. It is of strategic significance to promote the rapid and healthy development of national underwater electromechanical equipment technology. He said that Huaneng Security will take the opportunity and take the initiative to drive transformation, focusing on underwater operation technology research and development together with Zhejiang University. As the co-founder of the UnderwaterElectromechanical Equipment Technology Innovation R&D Center, Professor Yang Canjun, deputy dean of the School of mechanical engineering of Zhejiang University, introduced the basic situation of the center and the achievements and research development in the field of underwater electromechanical equipment technology. He reviewed the successful cooperation process between Zhejiang University and Huaneng Security and expressed confidence in the future cooperation between the two sides.
Finally, Professor Zhao Rongxiang, Dean of the Institute of IndustrialTechnology Transformation of Zhejiang University, made a concluding speech on behalf of Zhejiang University. He pointed out that the establishment of the R&D center marks a closer connection between higher education institutions and enterprises, which will help promote the transformation of production, research, and research results. To enhance the ability of social innovation and improve the effectiveness of scientific research results. He hopes that the underwater Electromechanical Equipment Technology Innovation R&DCenter can focus on three aspects: underwater operation technology research, underwater detection technology, and other general technology. He hopes that the School of Mechanical Engineering and Huaneng Security will establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, build a long-term stable cooperation community, and make important contributions to the underwater electromechanical equipment technology of China's water conservancy industry.
After consultations between the two parties, Yang Canjun was appointed as the director of the “Underwater Electromechanical EquipmentTechnology Innovation R&D Center”; Lei Yong, Li Dejun, and Yang as deputy directors, who will be responsible for organizing the daily management and research and development of the center.
