Professor Yoji Yamada and Dr Fukashi, Members of the International Standards Committee (ISO), Held An Academic Exchange Seminar

October 9, 2017, at the invitation of Professor Yang Canjun of theState Key Laboratory of Fluid Power and Mechatronic Systems, Prof.Yoji Yamada, member of the International Standards Committee from Nagoya University, Japan, and Dr. Fukashi , member of theInternational Standards Committee of the Toyota Research Center ofJapan , came to our school for academics Exchange lectures.

On the morning of the 9th, Prof. Yoji Yamada gave a lecture titled“Exploration Research on Robot Safety”. Prof. Yoji mainly introduced related research and results on robot safety in his laboratory at Nagoya University in Japan, including security. Sexualverification, test methods, wearable robot test results, etc., through the study of these programs, the safety and productivity of industrial robots can continuously improve.

On the afternoon of the 9th, Dr. Fukashi gave a lecture titled"Toyota's Partner Robot Overview". From the perspective of Toyota's product standardization leader, Dr. Fukashi began to elaborate on Toyota's production and development entertainment. All-round robot development line for robots, rehabilitation robots, medical robots, and handling robots emphasized the importance of and forward-looking nature of standard work for companies to lead the industry.

After the lecture, Professor Yang Canjun led Professor Yoji Yamada and Dr.Fukashi to the State Key Laboratory of Fluid Power and MechatronicSystems. This academic exchange lecture provided valuable opportunities for teachers and students to understand the frontiers of scientific research, helping everyone to broaden their horizons and expand their thinking. It also gave everyone a deeper understanding on the safety of robots.
