At the invitation of Prof. Xie Jin, on the afternoon of September 20th, Professor Fu Yongqing from Northumbria University in the UnitedKingdom made a speech entitled “Piezoelectric thin films for flexible and wearable acoustic wave sensing and microfluidic devices” in the conference room on the fourth floor of the hydraulic building Yuquan Campus, Zhejiang University. Professor Xie Jin presided over the report. Associate Professor Hu Liang, Liu Weiting, ProfessorDong Shurong from the School of Information and ElectronicEngineering, and many mechanical students listened to the report.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Xie Jin first extended a warm welcome to Professor Fu Yongqing and gave a brief introduction.

Professor Fu used a large amount of experimental data and video to vividly demonstrate the principle of surface acoustic wave devices, especially piezoelectric films, and their application in biosensors, microfluidics, and smart materials.

In the questioning session, Professor Fu answers the questions of the students, and he welcomes students to exchange ideas. Finally, the lecture ended with warm applause. This lecture brought the frontier information of the piezoelectric film sound flow drive technology to the audience, helping everyone to broaden their horizons and expand their thinking.
