Wearable Systems for Biomedical Applications and Human Computer Interaction

Speaker Bio:

Peter Shull is an Assistant Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in the School of Mechanical Engineering. He received the Ph.D. degree from Stanford University in 2012, and the M.S. degree from Stanford University in 2008. His Ph.D. research on gait retraining for knee osteoarthritis received national attention as the feature article in the United States National Science Foundation’s Science Nation titled, “Movement Retraining Can Reduce Knee Pain.” His current research interests involve the design and implementation of wearable sensing and wearable haptic feedback systems, real-time human movement training, and biomechanics.

个人简历：

Peter Shull教授于2008年获斯坦福大学硕士学位，2012年获斯坦福大学博士学位，现为上海交通大学机械与动力工程学院副教授。Peter教授博士课题为“膝骨关节炎患者的步态训练”，专题论文《运动训练可减轻关节疼痛》刊登在美国国家科学基金会Science Nation杂志上，研究成果受到举国关注。目前研究领域涉及可穿戴传感与可穿戴触觉反馈系统的设计与实现、实时人体运动训练和生物力学。
