ACCESS TO Hangzhou

Location of Hangzhou

Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, is at the southern end of the Grand Canaland and one of China's seven ancient national capitals. When Marco Polo came to Hangzhou in the 13th century he declared that "it is the most beautiful and elegant city in the world".
 

Access to Hangzhou

Air

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is considered a Garden Airport due to its verdant setting and floral gardens and is one of the most important territorial airports in China. Covering an area of about 180 acres, the airport has a 3,600-meter (about 3,937 yards) airstrip, which can meet the take-off and landing requirements of planes from B747 to B400. The airport has 36 ticket management counters, amongst which 12 are for international ticket service. There are 2,900 seats in the Waiting Hall, VIP Lounges and First-class Lounges, all featuring modern designs and aimed to make your journey comfortable and enjoyable. Hangzhou currently attracts 126 airlines that offer flights to 13 International destinations, 44 Chinese cities and two regions.

Railroad

Hangzhou Railway Station (colloquially the "City Station" ) and the significantly less modern Hangzhou East Railway Station (colloquially "East Station" ) serve the city centre, from which one can catch a train to Shanghai and almost anywhere in China. A Shanghai-Hangzhou Maglev Train Line has been proposed. Water Transport
