The research work of the laboratory is concentrated on Fluid Power Transmission and Control, Applied Fluid Mechanics, Mechatronic System Control and Signal Processing, Mechatronic System Integration and Intelligentization and Mechatronic System and Equipment Design and Manufacture. The faculties in SKLoFP include some top level leading professors and many young researchers coming from various education and research backgrounds including Electro-hydraulics, Manufacturing, Electronics and Computer Science. Faculty Highlights

Qingfeng Wang, He won the five rewards of Technology Promoting in Zhejing Province with the first, second and third prize. He was authorized for 12 patents, 2 software copyrights. His more than 30 papers indexed by SCI and EI. He was chosen in the Plan for Cultivating the Outstanding Person Cross-century by ministry of education and the focused cultivating person in the first level of Zhejing 151 Talents Project and the 151 Talents Project in the New Century. He was honored the special allowance of the Sate Council.
Huayong Yang, He has won several national awards, such as the National Outstanding Researcher of the Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Scientific and Technological Progress Prize and three Ministerial or Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Prize (First Class). He has served as an Editor for the Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Transactions of the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery and Manufacture Information Engineering of China. His research interests are in motion control and energy saving of mechatronic systems, fluid power component and system development.
Yongxiang Lu, From 1985, he was appointed as the vice president of Zhejiang University. During 1988 to 1995, he was appointed as the president of Zhejiang University. In 1993, he was designated as the deputy director of The Academy of Sciences of China. In 1994, he was nominated as the routine vice director of The Academy of Sciences of China. In 1993, he was elected as the academician of TWAS. In 1999, he was elected as an honorary academician of KAIST. In 2004, he was elected as the honorary academician of the Hungarian academy of sciences. In 2004, he was elected as the honorary VIP of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. In 2005, he was elected as the communication academician of CSIRO.
Bing-Feng Ju, His research is focus on mechatronics and measurement systems, new MEMS devices and the applications of such devices in ultra-precision metrology and biology.
Bin Yao, Prof. Yao has been with the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University since 1996 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2002 and Professor in 2007. He was honored as a Kuang-piu Professor in 2005 and a Changjiang Chair Professor at Zhejiang University by the Ministry of Education of China in 2010 as well.
